2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games

1,900 Special Olympics athletes will arrive in Limerick to participate in the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games, that will take place from the 9th to the 13th June in 13 sports competitions held in different venues throughout Limerick city and county.

 

What: 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games - 5-day residential Games

Who: 1,900  Athletes, 850 Coaches and Official Delegates, 3,500  Volunteers and 3,500  Family members

When: 9 -13th June 2010

Where: Limerick University will be the hub and in addition to providing accommodation will host 6 sports competitions.

Sports offered: 13 Sports Competitions. Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bocce, Bowling, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Pitch & Putt and Kayaking

Motor Activities Training Programme (non competitive) will also be offered.
